Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech location where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with opportunities to work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, delivers through teamwork, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a technology location.
  • Perform access control duties including monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor registration, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help discourage unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor cameras and other systems as assigned, complete required logs and reports, and communicate timely updates to site contacts, management, and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
