Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Sarasota, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control for people and deliveries. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and communicate professionally with site teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disputes at docks and/or gates, and medical incidents, and coordinate with local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential theft.
• Control access for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers by verifying identification, managing entry and exit points, monitoring inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, and documenting shipments and/or exceptions per post orders.
• Monitor cameras, radios, and other security-related systems; write accurate reports of daily activity and incidents; and maintain assigned equipment, including duty weapon, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
