As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will perform routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document security-related observations, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while staying agile, reliable, and innovative on every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, donors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and communicating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and reporting suspicious activity in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Operate assigned equipment and carry required duty gear in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements, and complete detailed incident, patrol, and shift documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security-related experience, or have a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
