You will monitor assigned areas, check doors and perimeter points, document security-related activity, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or residents by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for entry, issue visitor directions, and/or assist with vehicle screening in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from Allied Universal leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, unusual conditions, and/or incidents using written reports and required logs, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and post transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
