Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Financial Reporting & General Accounting
• Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support management decision-making.
• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in collaboration with accounting and operational teams.
• Participate in the preparation of year-end audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Support job costing and project cost tracking, ensuring accurate allocation of materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, identifying drivers and recommending corrective actions.
• Assist with E&O calculations. * Analyze inventory adjustments and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform payroll processing including entering payroll data, processing timecards and time-off requests, and processing manual payroll checks.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) when required.
• Track capital asset purchases and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules according to company policy.

Pay: $39 - $44/hr

Hours: 9/80 work schedule

Length: 15+ month contract

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years experience of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Minimum 5 years of experience advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting - understanding what cost looks like

• Able to work independently, self-starter, able to meet deadlines in a timely matter
