Project Manager New Installations
Your main responsibilities
Your main responsibilities As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for full cycle project management of high-quality, financially successful new installations. You will collaborate with sales representatives, field superintendents and customers to meet specifications and resolve technical issues.
Project Management: * Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out * Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors * Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans * Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project * Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning * Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins Financial Ownership: * Manage project revenue, size, and adherence to fulfillment guidelines * Ensure timely invoicing, targeting 90% payment prior to elevator turnover Customer Relationship Management: * Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success. * Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws Quality & Safety Compliance: * Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety What you will learn * Knowledge of Schindler's products, services and fulfillment standards through live classroom trainings, time in the field and self-study learning platforms * Participate in a three-day in-person onboarding training focused on New Installation (NI) tools and processes * Benefit from one-on-one mentorship to enhance your skills and accelerate your understanding of the business * Gain hands-on experience with project management software and organizational tools
What you bring
What you bring * Bachelor's degree preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Preferred * Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry * Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore * Ability to read schematics and blueprints * Strong financial acumen
