Salary Range: $20.00 - $27.13


Salary range updated 2/26/2026. Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Principal Objective

This position works under the supervision of the Teller Supervisor. The Senior Teller is responsible for processing a variety of routine and complex teller transactions accurately and efficiently. The cash drawer must be balanced daily following the established guidelines of the Teller Variation Policy. All security procedures must be followed which include; cash, keys, teller stamp, cash drawer limits, negotiable items etc. Incumbent must follow all bank policies and procedures pertinent to this position, which include check cashing policies, deposit verification policies and security. The Senior Teller will be cross-trained in all daily operational functions of the teller line including maintaining vault cash, ATM settlement, CTR reporting and monthly reports. The Senior Teller will be responsible to meet or exceed individual teller incentive goals.



The Senior Teller assists the Teller Supervisor with the daily operations of the teller line. This will include making decisions within established authority limits for less experienced tellers. In addition, the Senior Teller will be trained to perform duties of the Teller Supervisor during their absence.



In this position, the Senior Teller is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service in accordance with the Bank's commitment to deliver "World Class Service".



Principal Duties and Responsibilities




  • Maintain and balance a cash drawer
  • Balance within an acceptable time limit and within guidelines.
  • Process all levels of complex teller transactions in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Cash checks within established check cashing limits, follows check cashing policy and seeks supervisory approval when necessary.
  • Performs supervisory overrides within established limit
  • Assist in the training of less experience tellers or new hires.
  • Assist the Teller Supervisor with the daily operation of the teller line
  • Performs duties of the Teller Supervisor during their absence.
  • Follows all bank policies and procedures including security of the banks assets to minimize exposure.
  • Knowledge of bank products and service.
  • Utilizes sales techniques to recognize the needs of our customers and prospects and offer solutions
  • Meet or exceed individual teller incentive goals
  • Contribute to the overall branch goals




Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)



  • Extensive cash handling
  • Retail Sales and Customer Service Experience
  • Thoroughly cross trained in all teller line related duties
  • Demonstrated decision and judgment making skills
  • Demonstrated success in achieving teller referral goals
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic, goal oriented and customer focused.
  • One to two years Teller experience or one year Teller experience with supervisory experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Work involves sitting, extended period of standing, occasional walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
