POSITION PURPOSE: Analytics
Support business by addressing and resolving questions and requests in a timely manner; this includes Business Reporting and Analytics as well as identifying profit improvement opportunities for assigned product and channel through knowledge and use of OWI products, systems, and tools.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop pricing programs for new business opportunities in line with company product and channel profitability requirements
- Conduct regular profitability reviews through variance analysis for assigned products and channels, working cross-functionally to identify opportunities to improve business performance
- Create and Maintain P&Ls for the business, both current and new opportunities
- Provide input for promotional program development and perform post-promotion analysis to evaluate effectiveness and results.
- Utilize financial modeling to produce customer, channel, and product performance reports that support business decision-making.
- Proactively identify opportunities to drive profitability through analytical review of assigned customers, including opportunities related to compliance, conversions, and product penetration.
- Analyze competitive activity, including pricing programs and market dynamics.
- Partner with Sales Channel Directors by providing:
- Visibility into key drivers impacting the P&L
- Projections and forecast reviews to support demand planning
- Regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytical insights
- Develop and maintain commercial dashboards and analytical tools to track sales performance, pricing, and profitability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support sales initiatives and business strategy
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by department leadership.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business and/or Finance and 3+ years' experience, in an analytical role.
- Strong communication and data interpretation skills
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with problem-solving mindset who proactively works with other people to ensure customer needs are met.
- Ability to prepare presentations and utilize them to assist with cross-departmental processes.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, and Tableau preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
