This position will be remote until we have office space and then will be 100% in office. Consideration for location will be Florida.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.


Minimum of 2 years commercial credit or lending experience required.


Experience in Florida Market is highly desirable.

Job Description

SUMMARY:


The Portfolio Manager is responsible for proactively managing portfolios by identifying trends and alerting management to changes in portfolio conditions. Partners with Relationship Managers (RM) to manage credit proposals and renewals; independently prioritizes requests, identifies risk and risk ratings, recommends and evaluates credit structure, and prepares proposals. Contributes to the development of profitable long-term credits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Underwrites and services commercial loan portfolios including management of covenant compliance testing, financial reporting, and annual reviews


Identifies credit weaknesses / trends and alerts management to deterioration


Collaborates with RM to prioritize new credit requests, renewals, modifications, and reviews


Provides risk ratings and recommends appropriate credit structure


Identifies policy exceptions


Prepares approval, commitment, proposal document, and participates in documentation process including the identification of covenants and other key provisions


Participates in customer meetings to discuss alternative credit structures and to clarify any questions. Also interacts with clients during due diligence and finalizing credit package


Contacts internal/external customers and other parties as appropriate to gather information and clarify inconsistent, incorrect or missing information. May include relevant pre-approval and post-approval activities.


Owns primary responsibility for the credit and monitoring of Commercial portfolio risks.


Responsible for underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and credit quality of assigned portfolio working direct.


Manages delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base, portfolio reviews, specialized reporting, soft exposure annual reviews, criticized loans, etc.


Serves as a secondary customer contact to the Relationship Manager



OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.


Strong analytical abilities, credit underwriting skills


Ability to work with others in a team environment and under occasional time constraints is a necessity.


Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents; performs simple to complex calculations; effectively researches, analyzes and evaluates information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals


Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.


Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including, Word, Outlook and highly proficient skills with Excel
