What You'll Do (a.k.a. Your Mission)

Under general supervision, you'll help bring Southern Cancer Center's brand, services, and growth strategies to life. You'll support and execute marketing programs that connect our services with the communities and physicians we serve-while keeping a close eye on trends, performance, and opportunities.

You'll assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing initiatives across multiple platforms, ensuring our products and services are positioned for success in an everchanging healthcare landscape. Along the way, you may also serve as a coach or mentor to teammates, sharing your expertise and ideas.


Responsibilities

How You'll Make an Impact

You'll play a key role in a wide range of marketing activities, including:

  • Helping develop and execute short and longterm marketing plans, market research initiatives, and product line strategies across print, digital, and other channels
  • Analyzing competitive products, market trends, consumer behavior, and digital performance to inform smart marketing decisions
  • Supporting the development of new products and services, including marketing policies and positioning
  • Assisting with physician communications and public relations, helping strengthen relationships across the organization and community
  • Designing, implementing, and managing market research programs to identify customer needs and growth opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining marketing tools and databases that support campaign execution and reporting
  • Monitoring industries, markets, and competitors to stay ahead of trends and generate new ideas
  • Recommending product or service enhancements based on research and field feedback
  • Conducting financial and statistical analyses to support marketing initiatives and forecast growth potential
  • Creating, reviewing, and managing advertising campaigns, including digital marketing, copywriting, media placement, and cost evaluation
  • Collaborating with and serving as a liaison to outside advertising agencies
  • Writing and editing compelling copy for ads, brochures, booklets, direct mail, and digital content
  • Developing reports and insights that help leadership measure success and make informed decisions
  • Supporting trade association activities and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Ensuring all work aligns with Southern Cancer Center's mission, values, and compliance standards

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of marketing experience (healthcare experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative mindset
  • Experience with digital marketing, market research, and campaign execution
  • Excellent communication, writing, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • MBA preferred, but not required
The Work Environment
  • Primarily officebased with frequent collaboration across corporate and field teams
  • Regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Occasional travel within Mobile and Baldwin Counties

Physical Requirements:
This role involves regular sitting and computer use, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed. Reasonable accommodations are available.
