Job Overview A leading low voltage contractor is expanding its data center operations in Bridgeport, Alabama and is seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to support long-term work at an established data center site. This role is critical due to the upcoming departure of the current lead technician and will play a key role in building and guiding a growing technical team. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in low voltage systems-particularly fiber installation and management-along with proven leadership and site management skills. This is a hands-on leadership role, with approximately 80% field work and 20% administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities * Lead and work alongside technicians performing low voltage and fiber installation work * Pull, dress, label, and manage fiber within a data center environment * Oversee daily job site activities and manpower coordination * Communicate directly with the customer and support on-site operations * Perform administrative tasks including: * Data entry related to site activities and materials * Tracking materials and manpower * Supporting the Superintendent with site needs and reporting * Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project scope Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong low voltage experience * Hands-on fiber experience (pulling, dressing, and managing fiber) * Prior lead or management experience, including: * Leading technicians * Managing job sites or scopes of work * Coordinating labor and site logistics * Ability to balance hands-on technical work with administrative and leadership duties * Strong communication and organizational skills Work Environment * Work takes place inside a pre-existing data center facility * Customer will be present on site during work activities * Professional, safety-focused environment Why This Opportunity * Long-term, stable work at a data center site with years of ongoing and future scope * Opportunity to step into a key leadership role with continued project longevity * Be part of building and leading a team in a growing data center market Reason for Opening This position is open due to the current Lead Technician transitioning off the site. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, AL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
