The Jr. P&C Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including, but not limited to, onboarding and offboarding staff, coordinating pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Jr. P&C Generalist is comfortable with foundational HR administration and is ready to further grow their skills.

Key Tasks

  • Serve as welcoming and professional point of contact for employees, providing day-to-day support on questions related to pay, benefits, leave, employment verification, and general HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, including new hire and employee change processing in ADP.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities such as scheduling interviews, coordinating new hire orientation, and assisting hiring managers with candidate communication and logistics.
  • Assist with background checks, mandated training, benefits enrollment, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Provide frontline support ot people leaders on routine employee relations matters - such as attendance concerns, basic policy questions, early-stage performance discussions, or preparing documentation - escalating complex or sensitive issues to P&C
  • Business Partner as needed.
  • Help track and maintain HR metrics including headcount, new hires, turnover, attendance, and other people-related data.
  • Participate in employee meetings and investigations as a support function to learn and build competency in employee relations practices.
  • Support adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws by maintaining required postings, file organization, and documentation accuracy.
  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and site events.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills by identifying process improvements, anticipating potential issues, and recommending opportunities to strengthen the overall employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to P&C initiatives and continuous improvement projects, ensuring consistency with business needs and company policies.
  • Perform other duties
    as assigned in support of the P&C function

Your Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; experience may be substituted for education.
  • 2 - 4 years of human resources or related experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
