Position Description

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment, systems, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians, manages work orders and preventive maintenance schedules, coordinates contractors, and ensures compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Oversight

  • Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support staff.
  • Assign, prioritize, and review work orders for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance for electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support training plans.

Maintenance Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Ensure timely response to maintenance requests and emergency situations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct routine safety audits, equipment inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain documentation for safety compliance, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard communication, and other safety programs.
Required Education & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or industrial operations.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Work may involve noise, heights, confined spaces, and use of PPE.
  • Must be available for oncall rotation, emergencies, or afterhours support
