Reimagine What's Possible

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Baytown III HYCO facility and its associated satellite plants. This role provides direct leadership to a team of 10 operators, ensuring consistency to safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards. The Site Supervisor serves as the onsite leader, coordinating daily activities, helping solve operational issues, implementing procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Management to ensure plant reliability, personnel development, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Support onboarding, qualification, and continuous development of operators.
  • Respond to and lead plant upsets and abnormal conditions to minimize risk and downtime.
  • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities to support equipment reliability.
  • Performing and supporting Management of Change (MOC)
  • Implementing, sharing, and training on standards
  • Lead and sustain a strong safety culture with a demonstrated focus on injury prevention and risk reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality procedures; performing site audits and handling corrective actions.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and nearmisses, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Air Products Corporate and Government regulations.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • Electrical, instrument or mechanical Maintenance experience a plus
  • Climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Meet call-in requirements as needed
  • Extreme work required
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Lone worker
  • Prior experience directly supervising, mentor, and developing a team of operators is considered a strong plus.
