Position Summary

Position Summary:

Technical Analyst 1 will assist in overseeing daily technology needs for the Finance Services and Human Resources divisions. Resolves routine to moderately complex problems. Serves as a technical resource to users/departments in deriving needs assessments, proposals, implementing requests, and solutions. May supervise or provide functional directions to support staff and/or student employees.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of effective communication, technical, and organizational skills; excellent problem-solving skills; and solid customer support skills to support a diverse customer base.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 6 months of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Windows/Macintosh administration, troubleshooting, and basic project management.
  • Experience with Active Directory groups and user access.
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Life Cycle Management with experience in using Intune and JAMF to image, deploy, and secure endpoint devices.
  • Ability to provide Tier 1/2 technical support, coordinating help desk operations to resolve staff technical issues.
  • Effective communication for interacting with various departments, including the ability to train staff on new systems, troubleshoot software issues, and manage user access.
  • Experience in inventory management of computers and related equipment
  • Ability to write processes and procedures, create training materials, and keep them up to date.
  • Ability to handle stress and shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
  • Knowledge of UNM IT standard operating procedures.
