The Financial Administration and Program Analyst provides financial management, budget analysis, and program support services in alignment with mission requirements supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position supports the planning, execution, and oversight of financial activities to ensure effective stewardship of government resources and compliance with applicable fiscal laws and regulations. The Financial Administration and Program Analyst supports cost analysis, budget planning, and financial forecasting activities for assigned programs. The position assists in developing and monitoring budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and funding constraints. The Financial Administration and Program Analyst reviews and analyzes financial data to support program decision-making and financial accountability. This includes examining financial transactions, identifying discrepancies or trends, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency. The position supports the development and implementation of financial controls and processes used to manage appropriated and non-appropriated funds. The Financial Administration and Program Analyst works with program managers and government stakeholders to ensure financial activities comply with applicable policies, regulations, and DoD financial management guidance. The Financial Administration and Program Analyst assists with the interpretation and application of fiscal laws, regulations, and rulings, ensuring that financial practices are consistent with established requirements. The position may also support financial reporting, documentation, and audit readiness activities. The role utilizes automated cost reporting and scheduling systems to track financial performance, generate reports, and support program planning and execution. The Financial Administration and Program Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to support financial operations, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial data. Preferred
Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, or a related field. The degree must include at least thirty (30) accredited semester hours in financial management or related disciplines. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered where appropriate. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to perform cost analysis, budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting in support of program requirements; Skill in analyzing, examining, and interpreting financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance; Ability to develop, implement, and maintain financial controls for both appropriated and non-appropriated funds; Skill in interpreting and applying fiscal laws, regulations, and rulings within Department of Defense (DoD) programs; Ability to administer financial programs and systems used for tracking, controlling, and reporting financial data; Skill in using automated cost reporting and scheduling systems to support financial management activities; Ability to support budget planning, financial documentation, and reporting requirements; Skill in organizing, managing, and maintaining financial data to support program execution and decision-making; Ability to analyze financial requirements and support scheduling and resource planning activities; Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in financial data, reporting, and documentation; Ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders and support program coordination efforts; Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a structured, deadline-driven environment Travel %
