  • Core Knowledge & Skills: Develops enterprise security architectures, frameworks, and standards; utilizes advanced forensics and integrates solutions with IT systems.

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Security Architect - Mid. Project Summary

AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong background in GCP/GCP Cloud Native Services.

  • Owns and manages the development of InfoSec engineering designs and implementation. Identifies security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans for cloud implementations.

  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services.

  • Oversee assessment and mitigation of system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validation of system security requirements definition and analysis; establishing system security designs; implementing security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verification of security requirements; performing system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and supporting secure systems operations and maintenance.

  • Liaisons with various internal and external groups for security mapping and overall solution integration activities.

Required For This Opportunity
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions in AWS and/or other cloud environments.

  • Hands-on experience securing cloud architectures, including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability management.

  • Working knowledge of federal and DoD security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, RMF, FedRAMP) and their application in cloud environments.

  • Ability to collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security controls into cloud designs and delivery pipelines.

  • Active Secret clearance or higher, with ability to support federal and mission customers.

  • IAT Level II certification (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) and one or more cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $138,000-$209,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. We value transparency in our hiring process and are happy to discuss how your unique qualifications align with our compensation structure during the interview process.
