As a Brand Manager on our leading financial client's Brand Management team, you will serve as the primary steward of our global brand ecosystem. Unlike traditional creative roles focused on campaign ideation, this position is strictly focused on the technical, operational, and governance side of brand management. You will bridge the gap between brand strategy and real-world application, ensuring that our visual and verbal identity remains consistent across every digital, marketing, and business touchpoint. By partnering with cross-functional teams in UX, Web, Compliance, and Marketing, you will build the infrastructure that allows our brand to grow efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
What You'll Do
- Brand Stewardship: Own the global brand system-including visual identity, verbal frameworks, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice-ensuring clear standards are maintained across all channels.
- Digital Governance: Partner with Web, UX, and Digital Delivery teams to implement brand standards within design systems, content templates, and digital frameworks.
- Operational Excellence: Operationalize brand governance through the development, maintenance, and rollout of "source of truth" brand guidelines, templates, and self-serve resources.
- End-to-End Project Management: Lead complex brand initiatives within a matrixed organization, managing timelines, stakeholder approvals, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Global Alignment: Collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure brand consistency worldwide while pragmatically balancing local market requirements.
- Vendor Management: Oversee agency and vendor partners to deliver high-quality assets that adhere to brand specifications and efficient workflows.
- Enablement & Training: Drive brand adoption by creating FAQs, documentation, and advisory support to empower internal teams.
- Quality Control: Monitor brand health and usage to identify risks, gaps, or areas of inconsistency and recommend corrective actions.
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 6-8+ years of dedicated brand management experience.
- Technical Governance: Deep expertise in the technical side of brand, including brand systems, governance, and operational execution (as opposed to creative/campaign-only roles).
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive projects to completion within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Brand Systems: Mastery of brand system management, including visual identity, verbal identity, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice.
- Vendor Management: Experience managing agency and vendor partners to deliver high-quality brand assets.
- Strategic Translation: Ability to translate high-level strategy into clear, usable frameworks and tools for non-marketing audiences.
- Soft Skills: Highly detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality control; ability to influence without authority across diverse functions.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Industry: Financial services experience is highly preferred.
- Environment: Experience working within a large enterprise-scale or highly regulated environment.
- Digital Implementation: Specific knowledge of web platforms, design systems, content templates, and scalable digital implementation.
Position Details
- Focus: Must focus on technical/operational brand management rather than campaigns.
- Location: Los Angeles (LAO).
- Work Schedule: This is a hybrid role. You are required to be on-site Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $87.63 to $97.37. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
