Position Overview
| Primary Purpose of the Position |
The Department of Chemistry is seeking a pool of candidates for temporary adjunct positions for Summer and Fall 2026. Candidates should possess a master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field. Candidates should be able to successfully teach undergraduate level General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and/or General Physics lecture and lab courses in an in-person mode.

- The ability to teach three (3) lecture hours per week in person and (1) lab hour.
- Must be able to use and work from a course syllabus and maintain grades and record keeping using a Learning Management System (Canvas).
- Should be proficient in technologies and teaching with various tools such as projectors, laser pointers, lab equipment, and presentation software.

- Three years or more of successful teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and/or General Physics lecture and lab courses at the college level.
- Effective classroom management, correspondence with students, faculty, staff and administration.

The instructional assignment may include, but is not limited to, teaching courses in all levels of Chemistry and Physics offered at the college in:
- General Chemistry
- General Chemistry for Health Sciences
- Organic Chemistry
- Physical Science
- General Physics
- College Physics
The department uses chemical instrumentation and computers in teaching environments. Departmental Instrumentation may include GC,
FTIR, GC-MS,
HPLC and AA. Laptop computers and digital data acquisition systems are also available for laboratory instructional use. |

The Adjunct Faculty will follow a syllabus and will prepare assignments, tests and quizzes as needed. Will also keep records of student's grades, attendance and submit a final grade. |
