Shift: B1 Shift Monday - Thursday 3PM - 1AM

Job Summary:

This position will cover job functions for the Quality department on the manufacturing floor and lab performing dimensional & visual certification inspections. This position will also be required to work on gage calibrations and other duties within the department as assigned by the Lead or the Quality Manager.

This position will be on our "B" Shift. (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday 3pm-1am



  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection for customer certification orders or quality critical inspection requirements
  • Complete first article inspections for manufactured parts.
  • Complete gage calibrations and entering gages in the GagePack calibration software.
  • Participate in Quality and Lean projects with cross-functional personnel
  • Perform routine quality analysis, input data into computer system, maintain logs and other required paperwork. Maintain communication with all customer groups, group leader, and other technicians
  • May be required to perform other tasks as needed within the scope of the Quality department as assigned.


Mandatory overtime may be required for this position as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:




  • Tool certifications and final inspections on completed parts






  • First article inspections on manufactured parts (shop floor and lab)






  • Running proven programs on automated measuring equipment (CMM, Zoller, Mahr, etc.)






  • Completion of standard SAP transactions to support material movement will be required






  • Daily work is determined by structure and needs of theOperations, Materialsand Quality groups.



  • Performs specialized technical tasks required to support Quality


  • Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments
  • Must have a base knowledge of SAP or aptitude to be trained in the application


Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates:



  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to use required computer software including but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Office.
  • 1-3 years of Quality experience preferred.
  • Blueprint reading experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with the use of handheld measurement devices (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc) is preferred.
  • Follows procedures/work instructions for conducting customer certifications.
  • Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.
  • Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
