Nauset Disposalhas an opening foraDiesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our GROWING team at our site inSouth Yarmouth, MA.

Schedule:Monday - Friday 10:00am to 8:00pm / Saturday's as needed.

Pay: $26.00 to $36.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience) Earning potential of $90,000+ annually with available overtime and bonus opportunities.

Our priority is to make sure we hire mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Assists experiencedmechanicswithvehicle maintenanceand repairs, learning the trade under supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, andlubrication
• Assist with brakes inspections, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
• Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance withsafety regulations
• Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed

What we need from you:

• Mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn and grow with a team.
• Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Welding/fabricationexperience,a major plus
