Summary of Job Duties:Are you passionate about improving maternal health and making a difference in the lives of women and infants across Arkansas? Join the Arkansas Center for Women and Infant Health (ACWIH) as a Project Coordinator to support the mobile health grant-funded program communications, logistics, and data management functions. This role is instrumental in coordinating mobile health programs and special projects designed to enhance provider capacity, improve outcomes for women and infants, and advance UAMS's mission of improving maternal health across Arkansas.

  • Bachelor's degree in health, business, or related field plus three (3) years of project coordination or administrative support experience.

OR

  • HS Diploma plus seven (7) years of project coordination or administrative support experience.

Candidates must either reside in or be able to commute to the UAMS Campus in Little Rock, AR (preferred) OR be located in northwest Arkansas with the ability to commute to the Fayetteville, AR campus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Grant operations and maternal/infant health initiatives: Understanding grant structure, compliance, and supporting programs aimed at improving women's and infants' health outcomes aligned with ACWIH goals.

  • Outreach strategies and coordination skills: Designing targeted approaches to engage priority populations and planning/executing campaigns, events, and training sessions.

  • Administrative processes: Managing procurement, travel tracking, documentation, and other tasks to ensure program efficiency.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail: Managing multiple responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy in communications and outputs.

  • Communication and data tracking/reporting: Crafting clear, audience-appropriate messages and monitoring program activities, metrics, and travel for performance evaluation.

  • Collaboration and task alignment: Working effectively with teams and stakeholders to ensure all work supports grant objectives and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop program materials: Creating newsletters, presentations, reports, and educational content to support program goals.

  • Adaptability and problem-solving: Flexibility for travel/non-standard hours and proposing solutions to address operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile Health Operations & Program Management

  • Ensures effective statewide coordination of Mobile Health Clinics, meeting established timelines, service goals, and operational standards.
  • Maintains accurate and efficient scheduling, staffing, onboarding, and training processes to support uninterrupted mobile health operations.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for mobile health site operations, resolving logistical and operational issues in a timely, solutions-focused manner.
  • Manages Epic scheduling for mobile clinics with accuracy and consistency, proactively identifying and resolving system-related issues to minimize disruptions.

Leadership, Supervision & Workforce Support

  • Provides effective leadership, training, and mentoring to Community Health Workers (CHWs), supporting performance, role clarity, and professional development.
  • Provides resources and operational support to CHWs and mobile health events as needed.
  • Works closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with clinical standards and timely completion of workplan deliverables.

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Plans and executes outreach activities and mobile health events that meet participation, engagement, and service delivery targets.
  • Coordinates community outreach efforts that increase awareness, patient engagement, and utilization of mobile health services.
  • Sustains collaborative relationships with regional teams, leadership, and community partners to support coordinated service delivery.

Data, Reporting & Quality Improvement

  • Supports data collection activities, identifies challenges and opportunities for quality improvement, and contributes to program reporting.
  • Monitors operational performance and service delivery data to inform continuous improvement efforts.
