What We Offer
The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and guide the work of the Multicraft Maintenance workforce (Mechanical, Electrical, Process Control) at the Newark Compounding Facility (24/7/365). They will oversee the preventative and reactive maintenance of all aspects of the site including but not limited to infrastructure, safety equipment, production equipment, lab equipment, logistics equipment, and HVAC systems. Execute maintenance strategies by developing solutions for defined problems.
Direct the facilities 24/7/365 maintenance functions by Planning and Scheduling Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Control resources. Direct maintenance functions in order to continually improve plant on-stream time. Use root cause analysis techniques to identify issues and develop continuous improvement plans. Coordinate (in conjunction with the Maintenance Scheduler) daily maintenance activities, open and complete repair orders, estimate man hours, and report backlog man hours monthly. Work closely with Engineers on related plant updates and activities which require unified timing and teamwork. Develop alternative solutions to problems, handle complex problems independently. Logically, cost effectively, and with a minimum of downtime guide multicraft personnel through equipment failure incidents. Communicate with Production Supervision on critical matters concerning the downtime of equipment for preventative and reactive Maintenance. Work closely with Production Operators to identify and address problem areas. Provide Management with daily updates on factors impacting Site and Plant Operations Establish communications with outside vendors to augment plant maintenance resources. Conduct monthly Safety Meetings within the Maintenance Department to make personnel aware of areas of concern and comply with Corporate Safety and Inspection Standards. Manage morale, performance, and the handling of personnel issues within the Maintenance Department using coaching and performance appraisal systems. Manage hazardous waste created by the central vacuum systems. The proper labeling and storage of expended vacuum oils and sludge. Assist in establishing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs at the plant site. Monitor and evaluate overtime requirements for the maintenance work force. Maintain PM inspection records, work order history, and P-card records. Maintain SOP's for Training and Recertification schedules
What You Offer
High School diploma and 11 years of experience in the Mechanical and Electrical, or related field OR Associate degree and 6 years of experience in the Mechanical and Electrical, or related field OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in the Mechanical and Electrical, or related field OR Master's degree and 2 years of experience in the Mechanical and Electrical, or related field. 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance, reliability, or production department.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to lead and motivate people through coaching and PMP evaluations. Ability to resolve conflict. Ability to act as a change agent. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees in the organization and external vendors. Working knowledge of plant systems Good analyzing skills and structured working style Ability to adapt to daily schedule changes to meet production needs
