Description

The HR Specialist plays a key role in driving critical human resources initiatives across the organization, with a strong emphasis on compliance and operational excellence. This position collaborates closely with branch leaders, field teams, and corporate departments to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of HR processes and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

This position is full-time hybrid; must reside NY. This position starts at $28 per hour. The role supports our Nassau and Suffolk branches in New York.

Responsibilities:



  • Partner with leaders and team members throughout company on HR compliance matters.
  • Manage the New Hire Onboarding Audit Report and Onboarding Smartsheet for assigned locations and audit the onboarding requirements and associated documents for new hires.
  • Monitor and maintain employee compliance requirements, including licensure, competencies, and certifications.
  • Develop internal controls and conduct pre-survey audits to ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible for regulatory reviews. Be available during surveys to assist with HR/personnel file requests. Communicate effectively with management and employees to support accurate and timely compliance records.
  • Facilitate communicates with branch leaders and handles off-boarding (removing from EMRs/Registries (i.e. GCHEX and AHCA) post-termination.
  • Maintain contract expirations and document management for independent contractors when requested.
  • Participate in HR projects and assist with training


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; PHR/SPHR preferred
  • 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred; experience working with healthcare regulatory bodies required
  • Must have prior home care/home health experience in HR
  • UKG experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-site environment
  • Must have good communication and organization skills; detail oriented
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
