Summary:

Guided by our mission, Johns Hopkins Medicine is committed to the education of health care professionals across a wide range of disciplines. The Johns Hopkins Health System Administrative Fellow is a formal administrative training program that provides exposure to organizational structure, mentorship, professionalism, diversity and project management.

The fellow will be responsible for completing special projects as assigned by the President/CEO, Vice President-Chief Operating Officer, Senior Director of Ambulatory Administration, and/or rotational preceptors. Project work will serve as a central component of each core and elective departmental rotation, offering the fellow opportunities for hands-on learning and organizational impact.

Projects may include, but are not limited to, initiatives related to business planning, financial due diligence, operational efficiency, outcomes analysis, community outreach, continuous quality improvement, and customer satisfaction. Through these experiences, the fellow will gain broad exposure to health system operations, strategic planning, and leadership decision-making.

Education:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge as acquired through the completion of a Master's degree in business, health care management or public health.

Work Experience: Requires some healthcare work or volunteer experience that demonstrates a record of accomplishment with leadership or leadership potential.

Salary Range: Minimum 33.53/hour - Maximum 33.53/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
