*Description*
The client is seeking a Construction Coordinator (Contract) to support a high volume of healthcare construction projects within active medical facilities. This role sits within the Planning, Design & Construction organization and is critical to ensuring that work is executed safely, compliantly, and according to approved scope in complex, live environments. The Construction Coordinator serves as the bootsontheground, fieldbased extension of the project management team. Unlike a Project Manager, this role does not manage budgets, contracts, or overall scope. Instead, it focuses on job site presence, safety, compliance, and realtime reporting, acting as the "eyes and ears" across multiple projects. This is a contract opportunity designed to immediately add field capacity and protect project execution without overburdening existing PMs. Key Areas of Focus Active Healthcare Job Site Oversight Ensure construction work is executed appropriately within occupied hospital and clinical environments, where safety, infection control, and operational continuity are critical. Contractor Monitoring & Coordination Walk job sites regularly to confirm contractors are following approved plans, schedules, and standards; identify issues early and escalate to Project Managers. Safety & Compliance Enforcement Monitor and support compliance with OSHA requirements, infection control procedures, life safety standards, and internal healthcare guidelines. Escalate and intervene when standards are not met. RealTime Reporting & Communication Provide timely, accurate updates to Project Managers regarding progress, risks, safety concerns, and site conditions. OnCall Field Support Participate in an oncall rotation to support issues that arise during nights or weekends, with hours balanced across the workweek (no overtime). Daily Responsibilities On a daytoday basis, the Construction Coordinator will: Walk and inspect assigned job sites within active healthcare facilities Observe contractor work to ensure compliance with scope, safety, and standards Monitor infection control practices, shutdowns, and safety procedures Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders onsite Document observations, issues, and progress for Project Managers Flag scheduling, safety, or scope concerns early to prevent escalation Support afterhours or weekend needs as required through oncall rotation Size, Scope & Impact Environment: Active hospital and healthcare construction settings Project Volume: Supporting a department managing ~100 active projects Impact of Winning: Successfully filling this role provides immediate fieldlevel visibility and control, reduces safety and compliance risk, ensures higher execution quality, and allows Project Managers to focus on oversight and stakeholder management. This role is essential to maintaining safe, uninterrupted hospital operations during construction activities. *Top Skills Details* 1.
