About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (This is not a state position) University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary Temporary, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Salary: $3,206.60 to 3,466.60 per month Location: CSUSB Campus Children's Center.

Work Schedule 40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 9:00AM to 5:30PM. Some nights and weekends may be required. Potential summer 4/10 schedule.

Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the Children's Center Director the Teacher will work independently to:
Serve as a Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) role model, demonstrating effective teacher-child interactions and supporting the daily operations of a university-based early childhood education program.
This role includes preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities tailored to each child's individual needs across key areas, including language, social-emotional development, creativity, science, cognitive growth, multicultural awareness, and physical and perceptual development.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with children, staff, families, and university students. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting undergraduate and graduate students, facilitating student observations, and participating in research and internship programs within the classroom setting.
The position requires maintaining accurate records in accordance with State guidelines, including child assessments and developmental evaluations. The incumbent will communicate effectively with parents, including conducting parent-teacher conferences, and contribute to a positive school-family partnership.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with State licensing regulations and health and safety standards, assisting in overall classroom and center supervision, and supporting program quality.
This is a flexible, team-oriented role that supports both preschool classrooms by floating as needed, providing staff coverage for breaks and lunches, and ensuring continuity of care and instruction throughout the day.
Limited travel may be required for training, conferences and other professional development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: 24 units in Child Development/Early Childhood Education/Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies.
- Experience:
- Applicants must have knowledge of DAP and have experience teaching in a preschool program, (preferably in a NAEYC accredited program).
- Other:
- Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) and responsive caregiving, along with the ability to lead and supervise others effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.
Candidates must be reliable, dependable, punctual, and responsible, with effective organizational and planning skills.
The position also requires the ability to safely lift and assist children as needed. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain certification upon hire) is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time, crouch or sit on floor to be eye level with children

Preferred Qualifications
- CTC Child Development Permit;
- B.A in Child Development or related field; current enrollment in M.A. Child Development or related program preferred.
