Job Description




As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional at a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will monitor communications, coordinate security-related responses, document activity, and support access and incident workflows. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, communication protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from a dispatch post.
  • Monitor alarm systems, cameras, radios, and other communication tools to receive calls for service, document activity, and relay information to on-site personnel, supervisors, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner by prioritizing incoming information, dispatching appropriate resources, and following established escalation procedures.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and shift activity records to support security-related operations, situational awareness, and continuity between teams.
  • Support access control and security-related coordination for a fast-paced technology location by communicating with employees, visitors, vendors, and/or mobile personnel regarding site activity, requests, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
