Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Screening in Cheshire, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support a secure environment through visible presence and strong communication. In this role, you will greet visitors, verify entry permissions, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting access control activities at a utility location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, badges, and/or visitor logs to help manage authorized access, document security-related concerns, and report unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating clearly with personnel on site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify security-related issues, check for irregular conditions, and support posted rules and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
