As a Armed Security Officer - Lobby Guard in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with the public. In this role, you will support a caring team culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while delivering exceptional customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed conditions and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and/or entry permissions in accordance with site procedures and post orders.
  • Support public-facing operations by observing and reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual activity while maintaining a professional presence during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
