As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operator in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving and armed post where you will respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative values.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, remaining attentive to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and movement throughout the location, helping to deter prohibited activity and supporting access control procedures according to post orders.
• Follow all training, licensing, and post instructions related to authorized equipment and use of force, and assist with de-escalation and incident response as circumstances require.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
