Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, 401 N. Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21287

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours), Day Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Position Summary:

Reports to the Supervisor of Guest Services with minimal supervision. Coordinates all activities related to Customer Service for the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Works in cooperation with all departments to deliver special needs and services to patients, visitors, and families. Serves as a central point of contact for any non-clinical patient request. Enhances Hopkins' customer service image by addressing a broad spectrum of needs and concerns, and completing tasks in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. A resource for patients' actual or perceived needs for service regarding the hospital, as well as actual events and services.

Education:

High School Diploma (College courses preferred)

Required Work Experience:

Three (3) to four (4) years of work experience in the Guest Services field or as a Concierge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Guest Relations has been acquired through years of experience
  • Local area and attractions
  • How to coordinate services (travel, accommodations, etc.) for the public
  • Hospital policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills to communicate with patients, guests, administrators, VIPs, clinical/nonclinical staff, and outside vendors.
  • Ability to provide accurate information to visitors, patients, and Hospital employees.
  • Ability to learn the floor plan of the institution, the location of clinics, and other areas.
  • Knowledge of the City of Baltimore and local entertainment venues and events, and the ability to provide directions.
  • Ability to accommodate visitors by providing information on living and transportation needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate and convey a favorable image of the organization and to conform to proper standards of professional dress, attitude, and demeanor.
  • Professional phone skills, computer skills on various types of software.


Salary Range: Minimum 16.65/hour - Maximum 27.50/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
