About the Role

The Financial Analyst, Performance Management supports NRG Business through financial forecasting, performance reporting, and business analytics. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, FP&A, Business Strategy, and other crossfunctional teams to translate financial and operational data into clear insights that support both daytoday execution and strategic decisionmaking. The role requires the ability to frame financial analyses into decisionfocused narratives, including evaluating alternative scenarios, quantifying the financial risks, costs, and benefits of each option, and clearly articulating implications and tradeoffs. This role will need to present technical analysis and findings in a manner that is easily understood across the organization. The position is ideal for an analyst with experience in the energy and/or finance industry who is comfortable working with data, buildingfinancialmodels, and presenting findings in a fastpaced environment. There is an expectation of high visibility and tactful communication of sensitive topics with organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support P&L forecasting, performance reporting, and variance analysis

  • Analyze business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunitiesimpactingEBITDA

  • Develop andmaintainrecurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership and sales teams

  • Track progress toward sales, margin, and operational targets

  • Partner crossfunctionally to align financial results with operational activity

  • Assistwith budgeting, reforecasting, and special projects, including M&A or integrationrelated analytics as needed

  • Help improve reporting processes, data quality, and analytical tools through continuous improvement efforts

  • Be able to develop new reporting models and enhance legacy models

  • Ad Hoc reporting, analysis, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or similar field.

  • 2-4 years of relevant financial, analytical, or related experience

  • Experience with AI and AI tools

  • Strong Excel skillset; experience with Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus

  • Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, concise insights

  • Strong communicationskills and ability to work crossfunctionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • PreviousEnergy industry experience

Working Conditions

  • Pittsburgh office-based role, compliant with NRG's return to workplace policies.

  • Open office environment

  • Overtime as business needs dictate, more often around key forecastingcyclesand any special projects

  • Minimal travel expected, and not likely to exceed more than 10%
