SummaryWe are seeking a dependable Inventory Team Lead to manage a secured inventory cage supporting manufacturing production lines. This role is responsible for coordinating day to day inventory activities, ensuring timely and accurate part fulfillment to production, and leading a small team of inventory associates. The ideal candidate has hands on manufacturing or materials experience and is ready to grow into a leadership role.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations within the inventory cage supporting production lines
- Ensure accurate and ontime delivery of materials and components to manufacturing cells
- Assign tasks and coordinate workflow for inventory team members
- Monitor inventory levels and alert leadership to shortages, potential line impacts, or material constraints
- Perform and oversee inventory transactions, cycle counts, and audits to maintain system accuracy
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and support root cause and corrective actions
- Work closely with Production, Materials, and Planning teams to prioritize line needs
- Maintain organization, 5S standards, and safety compliance within the cage area
- Train team members on material handling procedures, inventory systems, and production support processes
- Act as a point of contact for material issues when the supervisor is unavailable
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve material flow and reduce production disruptions

Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing inventory, materials, or production support
- Prior experience leading a shift, work cell, or small team preferred
- Understanding of material flow in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP, MRP, or WMS systems preferred
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts (Kanban, 5S, pull systems)
