Target hiring range for this position will be between $31.56 -$39.45 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this cardiovascular ultrasound technologist position includes performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on both human and animal subjects; making echo measurements; and analyzing data under the direction of the principal investigator and technical director of the Echocardiography Core Laboratory. The cardiovascular ultrasound technologist will participate in acquiring echocardiograms for multiple clinical trials and epidemiology studies, and will be responsible for training on those studies and will perform data transfer for those studies. The technologist will also perform measurements, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, tissue Doppler, 3D, and speckle-tracking echocardiographic measurements under the direction of the technical Director of the laboratory. Finally, the technologist will be expected to participate in weekly lab meetings and other educational activities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiovascular ultrasound examinations (echocardiograms) on human and animal subjects..
  • Make echo measurements and analyzing data.
  • Provide general laboratory maintenance and support, including ordering laboratory supplies and equipment; performing library and literature searches; documenting laboratory procedures; and recording data/laboratory results.

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in biology, or related science, and 3 - 5 years' experience in performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.

  • Current echo certification by ARDMS or CCI, or completion of certification within six months of hire.
