| Position Highlights |
Oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced warehouse environment supporting multiple Student Union business units, including freight, shipping and receiving, transfers, returns, and order fulfillment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the timely coordination and distribution of thousands of product orders while balancing multiple operational priorities. The Warehouse Manager leads and develops warehouse staff, drives operational efficiency, and ensures high standards of accuracy, organization, and customer service.

| Duties & Responsibilities |
Inventory Management & Purchasing
- Manage inventory levels to ensure student union business units have sufficient products to serve customers.
- Controls inventory levels and coordinates and organizes annual inventory counts for assigned area/division.
- Determines disposition of used or damaged property and handles it accordingly.
- Ensures accurate, complete records are kept regarding consumption, cost, selling price, stock levels and other data.
- Manages inventory control system, assigns numbers, tags, and ensures appropriate documentation of location, descriptions, and other data.
- Confers with vendors to identify the most beneficial terms and prices for blanket and special orders.
Daily Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations and tasks of materials handlers, drivers, and other warehouse staff.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager II to establishes goals and objectives to meet department goals; develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and meet goals.
- Provides input and monitors budget for assigned area/division.
- Analyzes operational issues to determine the most effective use of all resources.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise, schedule and train staff.
- Ensure appropriate staff coverage for a 7-day-a-week operation.
- Plans and schedules workflow and work assignments.
- Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, feedback and professional development.
- Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees.
Customer Service
- Greets and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner.
- Work to resolve customer concerns and questions.
- Identify areas of concern and escalate to Supervisor as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of job functions and industry best practices, techniques and standards.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and application of complex principle, theories and concepts to peers.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge, cost, and food items, food service equipment, and supplies.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse equipment.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
