What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a driven and experienced Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team at Gigafactory New York in Buffalo.

In this high-impact role, you will focus on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for skilled trades and high-volume manufacturing positions that keep our world-class production lines running. You will recruit for critical roles including Electricians, Maintenance Technicians, Controls Technicians, Tool & Die Specialists, Machinists, Facilities roles, and large-scale Production Associate hiring.

If you excel at high-volume recruiting, have a strong background in technical and skilled trades hiring, and are energized by the opportunity to build exceptional teams that are advancing sustainable energy, we want to hear from you.

This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role where your ability to deliver quality talent quickly will directly support Tesla's mission.


What You'll Do
  • Partnering with business leaders and hiring managers in our Manufacturing organization to assess their talent requirements and advising on the best hiring strategy
  • Effectively manage time, resources, and priorities while providing regular, data-driven updates to business partners and stakeholders
  • Using a variety of techniques to discover and attract the best passive talent
  • Conducting thorough behavioral based interviews and phone screens to assess both technical baseline as well as skills be successful in the Tesla environment
  • Focusing on providing a great candidate experience at every opportunity

What You'll Bring
  • This position will be required to be onsite at Gigafactory New York in Buffalo, NY
  • Minimum of 2 years recruiting experience. Demonstrated track record of excellence in sourcing and assessing skilled trades and leadership talent
  • Proven relationship management experience with hiring teams and business partners, helping them navigate the sources of talent and assisting them with assessment
  • A genuine interest in technology as shown by continuous learning throughout your career. Experience utilizing AI tools in recruiting is a plus
  • Skilled in offer negotiation, awareness of pertinent employment legislation and employment market trends
  • The ability to lead projects to successful conclusion - balancing efficiency with quality
  • A combination of corporate and agency/executive search experience is preferred

    Expected Compensation
    • Associate Recruiter - $57,600 - $86,400/annual salary
    • Recruiter - $75,600 - $113,400/annual salary
    + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
