Linguist Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting SOF Global Services Delivery. Provides senior-level technical, operational, and strategic expertise in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) missions worldwide. Advises leadership, supports mission planning and execution, enhances workforce readiness through training oversight, and ensures delivery of high-quality services aligned with customer requirements, operational priorities, and contract objectives. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
The ideal candidate possesses strong linguistic expertise, including translation and interpretation from target languages to English and from English into target languages, with proficiency aligned to DoD standards. They demonstrate the ability to support strategic planning and operational execution while aligning language capabilities with SOF mission requirements. The candidate is skilled in analyzing operational needs and providing language-enabled solutions that enhance mission effectiveness. They have proven experience coordinating with government leadership, military personnel, contractors, and international partners, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration. Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance is essential. The candidate must also have excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to produce reports, white papers, and executive-level briefings. Additionally, they excel in mentoring, instruction, and knowledge transfer, while applying critical thinking and maintaining adaptability in high-pressure, fast-paced, and austere environments.
