Project Coordinator - San Diego, CA

Leveraging proprietary design methodologies and state-of-the-art modeling software, we tackle complex site-specific obstacles head-on, reducing construction timelines and costs associated with electrical distribution and transmission improvements.

As our Project Coordinator, you will be supporting a team of Project Managers and Engineers responsible for competitive bidding, managing the design, permitting, construction support, and commissioning (Cx) of Transmission Line projects.

You will support multiple projects simultaneously and provide support services in collaboration with the Project Manager by setting up projects, running weekly financial reports, communicating schedule updates, updating final close out reports and assisting with all support services. The right candidate has a long-term goal of managing own projects independently.



Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include:

    Keep track of project schedules and deliverables for projects which you are assigned, and follow-up with team members to maintain project schedule and communication.
  • Maintain a high level of communication within each given project team and externally to the client. This includes written (project emails, meeting minutes, proposals) and verbal (documentation of conference calls) communication.
  • Consistently work in cooperation with numerous individuals and project teams both in person and across the country by leveraging technology and project management tools for communication and coordination.
  • Attend meetings for projects you have been assigned (internal and external) per the direction of the Director.
  • Capable of facilitating client meetings with support from NV5 Project Managers.
  • Track permit requests for multiple projects across project lifespans.
  • Help with processing permit requests, including submitting permit packages to agencies.
  • Obtain updates on permits and updates project tracker accordingly
  • Regularly disseminate information to team members on a timely basis.
  • Track deliverables and advise on appropriate team members of item status.
  • Occasional travel to permitting offices in Southern California and attend NV5 meetings.
  • Work internally with marketing and proposals teams on bid updates.


Qualifications

We are seeking the following experience & qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred
  • Project Coordinating experience within engineering preferred.
  • Passion for project performance.
  • Ability to track and complete project work under accelerated schedules.

The pay range for this position in California is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
