  • Work with the site Management team to implement and maintain site wide EHS programs

  • Develop site specific process and procedures to assist in incident reduction and implementation of Corporate EHS programs.

  • Maintain the site OSHA 300 log and PCIs internal databases for incident tracking and documentation

  • Facilitate employee safety committees at each facility within the site and assist site Management with reporting activities to the Corporate EHS Steering Committee

  • Work with the site Management team, facility safety committees and other internal or external resources to complete and maintain operational risk assessments (Job Safety & Job Hazard Analyses)

  • Oversee the site Powered Industrial Truck, Lock Out Tag Out and Risk Assessment Program

  • Develop and administer site specific EHS training to assist in incident reduction and implementation of Corporate EHS programs.

  • Assist site Management in completion of incident investigations including identification of causes and corrective actions.

  • Assist site Management in ensuring corrective actions identified for incidents, hazards, or similar are implemented across the site and communicated across all sites within PCI.

  • Complete routine walk throughs of facilities to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations.

  • Maintain the EHS database for site level safety hazard reports, observations, incidents, inspections, and more.

  • Oversee the site Medical Emergency Response Team

  • Complete required site environmental inspections and gather environmental data as directed.

  • Assist in completion of design reviews for new processes at the site level

  • Assist with customer and regulatory inspections and audits.

  • Assist in the management of workers compensation claims at the site.

  • Oversee the Hazardous Waste Operations (Hazwoper) at the site.

  • This position may require extra hours and/or weekend work.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS related field and 5+ years related work experience.

  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.

  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

  • Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

  • Certifications through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)

  • Experience in the pharmaceuticals and/or bio-pharmaceuticals industry or similar

  • Familiarization and experience with: business continuity plans, serious incident and fatality (SIF) prevention techniques, safety management systems, industrial hygiene, environmental regulations, and organizational/safety culture development.

The hiring rate for this position is $51,120 -$57,510 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
