Position Description
This is a paid internship with a hybrid in-office schedule.
Estimated hours: 20-40 hours/week
Pay: $20.00 per hour

We offer a hybrid schedule (in-office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule and flexible hours. Candidates will need to reside near Charleston, SC to ensure work site flexibility.
Essential Functions
- Build rapid turn prototypes that demonstrate AI enabled capabilities aligned with ATI use cases.
- Integrate commercial AI models into simple applications, dashboards, and workflows.
- Translate loosely defined use cases and problem statements into functional technical solutions.
- Support experimentation with agents, automation scripts, and lightweight applications.
- Document code, approaches, and lessons learned to support reuse and scalability within the team.
- Positively contribute to the ATI team through collaboration, communication, and continuous learning.
- Learn and gain experience through job shadowing and hands on project work.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with iterative development tasks as needed.
- Participate in discussions and demos related to ongoing R&D and prototyping activities.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Recent college graduate or currently enrolled college student, preferably with a degree or major area of study in Artificial Intelligence or AIfocused programs, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science (technical track).
- Proficiency in Python, with working familiarity in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Exposure to LLM frameworks, applications, and tools such as LangChain, Codex, n8n.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and API integration.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment with minimal direction.
- Critical thinking and creative problem solving mindset.
- Individual must meet the definition of "a U.S. person" upon hire due to the risk assessment of this position and access to documents.
