Since 1966, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), a division of Hudson Valley Community College and part of the State University of New York, has offered tuition-free academic and workforce development opportunities to disadvantaged and educationally under-prepared individuals. To be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC/EOC does not support Visas. Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check. Instructor-Cosmetology Description of Vacant Position: The cosmetology instructor will conduct classes to prepare students to take the written and practical skills exams leading to their New York State Cosmetology License. The instructor will develop and follow the class schedule, creating opportunities for students to earn their required 1,000 hours to sit for the exam. The work year for this position is 195 days assigned over twelve (12) months, July 1st - June 30th.
