Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Core Java Feature Lead for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This position is for a Feature Lead with strong expertise in Core Java design and coding. The role involves developing, enhancing, debugging, and testing complex software applications for key business functions, with a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite. The selected candidate will participate in the full design and development lifecycle, often utilizing new technologies within a financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions
• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies
• Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
• Attend business discussions and workshops to gather requirements
• Analyze requirements and transform them into a technical flow aligned with the existing project framework and design
• Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource, potentially leading projects and directing team activities for special initiatives
• Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate the delivery of software applications

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within a Financial domain
• Good working experience and knowledge in JAVA/J2EE, Kafka, REST API, Spring framework, Mulesoft, Cucumber framework, and GIT
• Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and Microservice implementations at scale
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, WebLogic Application server, or JBoss
• Strong experience in Integration Technologies - Mule ESB & IDE or equivalent
• Hands-on working experience in Oracle, proficient in creating SQL scripts and procedures
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing (Cucumber/Litmus, JUnit)
• Experience with containerization and cloud deployments
• Ability to handle code repositories using Bitbucket
• Able to contribute to automation, causal analysis, and the development of shared/common solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Skills in Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Team Leadership, Problem Solving, and mentoring

Desired skills:

• Knowledge and working experience in Agile Framework
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field
• Mule Certification
• Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, WinSCP, and CI/CD frameworks

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
