In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for Operating Room patients. You will serve as a scrub and circulating nurse while providing direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary professional team as you contribute to cutting edge and innovative surgical procedures. Our mission involves you supporting research and education to staff and students.
This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the RN/staff. Hospital locations include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
  • UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
  • UCLA West Valley Medical Center
Salary range: $116.66-$116.66 Hourly

Qualifications

We're seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated nursing
professional with:



  • Current California RN
    license,required
  • BSN or MSN degree,required
  • 3 years of Operating Room RN
    experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Operating Room RN experience,required
  • Travel or extensive OR RN experience
    in an acute hospital setting, preferred
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or
    American Heart Association,required
  • Able to circulate and scrub OR
    cases including ophthalmology,required
  • ACLS from the American Heart
    Association,preferred
  • PALS from the American Heart
    Association,preferred
  • CNOR certification, preferred
  • Ability to perform comprehensive
    patient assessments and develop/deliver appropriate interventions,
    involving patients, family and staff
  • Exceptional communication,
    prioritization, organization and designating skills
  • Thorough understanding of
    medical/surgical terminology
  • Knowledge of EHR charting
  • Ability to work efficiently and
    effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting-edge patient
    care while also contributing to the positive and collaborative team
    environment at UCLA Health is a must
  • Official Transcripts and/or
    original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon
    hire
