Find your calling at Mercy! Deliver, as a project/program manager, large-scale strategic initiatives and projects ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and measures, and transitioned to operations as managed solutions. Partner with Mercy leadership to direct and guide project managers and other stakeholders on large, highly complex, highly visible strategic initiatives for Mercy ministry-wide to define project/program scope, develop initial schedule and timeline, define resource needs, and identify potential risks. Manage programs involving a team of project managers and assisting other project managers to navigate Mercy and strategically align projects to Mercy's mission and strategic objectives. Partner with Enterprise Project Office leadership on team strategy and team development to include driving continuous improvement, assisting with project manager resource allocation, and developing and maintaining Mercy's project standards and processes. Mentor and train Enterprise Project Office Associate Principal and Lead Enterprise Project Managers on leadership skills and job responsibilities and provide thought leadership to project managers throughout Mercy. What you'll do:

  • Deliver, as a project/program manager, large-scale strategic initiatives and projects ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and measures, and transitioned to operations as managed solutions.
  • Partner with Mercy leadership to direct and guide stakeholders on large, highly complex, highly visible strategic initiatives for Mercy ministry wide to achieve specific business goals or objectives.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of anticipated project outcomes with business needs and works with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Provide organizational navigation between business, clinical, and technology entities and consultation to ensure projects account for strategic alignment and unforeseen impacts to Mercy's mission.
  • Guide and provide thought leadership to the Enterprise Project Office on team strategy and team development to include driving continuous improvement, assisting with project manager resource allocation, and developing and maintaining Mercy's project standards and processes.
  • Contribute to and maintain the Project Management Center of Excellence standards at Mercy while providing mentorship and guidance to the whole project management community at Mercy with formal mentorship assignments within the Enterprise Project Office.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • Experience:15 years of project management experience. 5 years relevant healthcare experience.

  • Certification(s): Prior or current Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute or equivalent, such as American Academy of Project Management.
