Overview

TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivatedAssociate Director for its Program Manager teamto support the delivery of electrification and energy efficiency programs serving the residential (including low income), commercial and multifamily utility customer sectors in the PSEG Long Island service territory. The successful candidate will manage a team of about eight full-time employees including program managers and support staff.


Responsibilities

Managing the implementation and integrity of all residential, commercial and multifamily programs:

  • Leads a team/manages staff, oversees program including preparing annual budget, communicates job expectations, needs and updates to supervisor and team leader.
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to ensure the team stays on track and helps the overall group achieve the yearly goals.
  • Research, understand, and apply the principles of national standards such as emerging standards such as ASHRAE, BPI, Energy Star, LEED, etc.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans to address those needs for direct reports and for other support staff and program partners.
  • Participate in marketing events and program collateral development.
  • Manage the interaction with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the project submittal, review and approval process.
  • Present program details to audiences for recruitment, training, and participation requirements.
  • Acts as key client contact for major contract / initiative with increased relationship responsibility with client, including multiple levels of contacts within the client environment.
  • Ensure TRC meets and exceeds utility client contractual obligations with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize our customer relationship management (CRM) database for project reviews and processing requirements.
  • Attend and present at tradeshows and events as necessary, to promote and educate businesses on the benefits of the Program.
  • Develop necessary reporting and tracking tools required for monthly program production tracking, accruals, and forecasting of savings, budget spend, and related metrics.
  • Conduct one on one meetings with direct reports.
  • Manages the process of developing work plans, program guides, forecasting, and budget development.
  • Management of Subcontractors.
  • Manage all program marketing activities as necessary to ensure the achievement of KPIs, including:
    • Manage Partner Communications/Program Updates/Newsletters.
    • Develop Program Marketing strategies for all programs within the annual budgets.
    • Manage relationships for alignment with utility client Marketing support staff.
    • Manage marketing services contract with marketing subcontractor and other vendors for various Program Design services.
    • Manage the logistic requirements assembling of slide decks and final presentations for the annual Contractor and Client year-end meetings and other presentations.
    • Direct the development of concepts and mock-ups for Marketing outreach and support.
    • Manage email outreach support through Mail Chimp and Survey Monkey software.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.

Business acumen to include a working knowledge and understanding of residential, low income, commercial and multifamily utility customer marketing, and operational functions required to make sound program recommendations and achieve given goals. Ability to create presentations and related program collateral for presentation to TRC management, clients, and industry trades.

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience combination
  • Strong leadership, communication and demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Ability to develop organizational talent and manage performance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and foster culture change
  • Microsoft software experience, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task to support concurrent priorities.
  • Aptitude to effectively communicate, schedule meetings, and track tasks through completion.
  • Proven ability to perform well in a team environment.
  • Applicant will be required to have a valid NYS driver's license and a safe driving history.
  • Must be available off hours and weekends as needed to support events on an as-needed basis

Highly Competitive Applicants have:

  • Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining commercial customer, client, and vendor relationships with a high level of satisfaction.
  • Professional presence with desire to improve processes and exceed program goals.
  • Strong time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics or other related CRM software.
  • Aptitude for Microsoft software including SharePoint, PowerBI, Co-Pilot.

Location and Office Requirements:

  • The TRC team supporting the PSEG Long Island Contract is located in Melville NY
  • The position will be primarily working from the TRC Melville office
  • The position has field responsibilities, they must be located near the service area (Long Island/Queens)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
