Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: (5B) is a 32-bed unit. This unit consists of various GYN surgical procedures, Men and Women bariatric weight loss surgical procedures, colon resections and other minor colon surgeries, and general medical patients. Additional patients served include various GYN conditions, GYN/Oncology, Obstetrical Complications, Mother/Baby Couplets, post-partum Nurse to patient ratios is 1:5-6 and PCA to patient ratios 1:6-8. All staff work 12-hour shifts, 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, which includes alternating weekends and holidays. UP TO $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE for nightshift only -NO CONTRACT Incentives:
