Job Summary
This position provides operational and administrative support to Transportation Services leadership. The incumbent applies departmental, California Vehicle Code and UCD Traffic & Parking Code policies to resolve parking-related issues, support event request processing and billing, and analyze citation and appeal data to inform decision-making. The role also manages day-to-day administrative functions for student staff, including recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, training, and timesheet approval, and provides recommendations to improve policies and processes. - Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing administrative and operational support in a fast paced customer service environment.
- Experience handling confidential information while interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulations to resolve issues.
- Experience analyzing data, generating reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance while demonstrating proficiency with standard business software and database systems.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive or difficult situations and the ability to interpret, apply, and clearly communicate policies, procedures, and regulations to both patrons and students.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and support decision-making along with the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgement.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks, coordinate logistics, and support operational activities, including events and staffing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in parking, transportation, or higher education operations.
- Experience with citation management systems, permit systems, or related databases.
- Experience supervising or coordinating student staff.
- Experience supporting event operations, logistics, or billing processes.
