Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Associate Director at the Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Associate Director will lead all Berkley Center programs, including venture accelerators, extensive skills development and thought leadership offerings, startup advising services, and community-building activities. The selected candidate will strategically develop and implement Berkley Center programs, with particular emphasis on fostering high-potential founders, expanding the pipeline of investable ventures, and improving outcomes for NYU startups. They will develop and deploy programs that promote innovation and catalyze entrepreneurship at the University. The Associate Director will help lead initiatives to support the growth and continuous improvement of the Berkley Center, help seek and secure the resources necessary to fulfill the Center's mission, and serve as a liaison for building external relationships and internal partnerships that support the department's success. They will also lead the development and supervise the maintenance of a comprehensive database to track program impact and effectiveness, as well as monitor university-wide startup alumni activity.



Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience facilitating the success of startups, whether through an accelerator, incubator, angel network, or venture capital fund, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate has successfully developed and managed programs with multiple stakeholders and has proven community-building experience. The ability to provide hands-on support and strategic guidance to early-stage ventures, as well as a deep understanding of the new venture creation process, are required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, strong presentation skills, the ability to conduct workshops on key startup concepts, and familiarity with CRM and project management software are also required.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
