Position Summary
The Associate Director of Transfer and Adult Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for initiatives supporting transfer students, adult learners, and nontraditional populations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing programs that enhance recruitment, onboarding, retention, and success of these student groups. A key component of this position includes leadership and coordination of initiatives related to Project Kitty Hawk, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and statewide workforce and adult learner engagement efforts.

Responsibilities of the Associate Director of Transfer and Adult Services include:
Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to recruit, enroll, and support transfer and adult learners.
  • Provide leadership for policies, programs, and services tailored to non-traditional student populations.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to ensure seamless pathways for transfer students and adult learners.
  • Oversee processes that relate to articulation agreements, MOUs, and student success.
  • Support initiatives deemed priority by the Director of Transfer and Adult Services


Project Kitty Hawk Oversight

  • Serve as the primary institutional liaison for Project Kitty Hawk initiatives.
  • Coordinate implementation of Project Kitty Hawk programs, including adult learner re-engagement and workforce-aligned credential pathways.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, track outcomes, and provide regular reports to institutional leadership.
  • Ensure alignment of Project Kitty Hawk efforts with institutional strategic priorities and enrollment goals.

Transfer Student Services

  • Oversee articulation agreements and partnerships with community colleges and other institutions.
  • Streamline transfer credit evaluation processes and ensure transparency for prospective students.
  • Develop targeted outreach and communication plans to attract transfer students.

Adult Learner Services

  • Design, oversee, and implement programs that address the unique needs of adult learners, including flexible scheduling, prior learning assessment, and career-focused pathways.
  • Provide guidance and support services tailored to working professionals and returning students.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to expand offerings suitable for adult learners.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with community colleges and employers.
  • Partners with academic advising, financial aid, and student success teams to support holistic student experiences.
  • Represent the institution at external events, including transfer fairs and adult learner recruitment initiatives.

Data & Assessment

  • Analyze enrollment trends and student success metrics for transfer and adult populations.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise professional and support staff within transfer and adult services.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment.

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in higher education, counseling, business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student services, with a focus on transfer or adult learners.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs or initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred:



  • Experience working with statewide initiatives such as Project Kitty Hawk or similar adult learner re-engagement programs.
  • Knowledge of transfer credit evaluation systems and articulation agreements.
